“New meat coming through!” (because the genius of Tina Fey’s Mean Girls always deserves to be quoted). That new meat at CoWork Jax is me, Crystal Pino. Pronounced like a glass of Pinot Grigio, or Pinot Noir if that’s more your style. I’m the newest “Awesome Intern” here at CoWork Jax! Raised in the Florida Panhandle, I moved to Jacksonville in 2011 to attend the University of North Florida. [editor's note: SWOOOP!] I am currently working towards a degree in Business Management, but only because a degree in Coffee Studies has yet to be offered.
While interning at Cowork Jax this summer I will also be enrolled in two classes, working part time in the restaurant industry and trying this new trend called exercise. But in the spare moments between the hustle, you can find me on Jacksonville Beach with a good book (currently The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg) or binging on yet another TV series (currently Community). You might also find me betraying my exercise trend on the Publix Bakery aisle.
When I walked into Cowork Jax for the first time I thought, “Are you sure I’m hip enough to work here?” Although the answer is probably definitely no, I’m looking at each day spent here as an opportunity to become more hip. The work experience is just an added bonus. I’m excited to become a part of CoWork Jax and learn more about what it means to do business outside a cubicle. So when you come through the front door and find me beaming at you with too much excitement, be sure to say hello!
I’m looking forward to coworking with all of you!
